The Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (“ACAMS”) is an association that provides training and certification, runs conferences and disseminates information on detection and prevention of money laundering.  ACAMS was founded in 2001 and has grown immensely since then.   ACAMS is now the largest international membership organization dedicated to enhancing the knowledge and expertise of Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”) and financial crime detection and prevention professionals.

ACAMS runs annual conferences attended mainly by bank Compliance Officers and BSA Officers who are responsible for ensuring that their banks are in compliance with all of the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act.

On September 12, ACAMS is offering a free webinar titled, “Next Generation of Financial Crime Management”.  Banks, particularly, Compliance Officers and BSA Officers, should consider registering for this one hour webinar.  The speaker is a Senior Product Manager from Fiserv (Core system provider for many Banks in the NY/NJ region).  He also has product management responsibility for Fiserv’s AML Manager solution (BSA Monitoring software).

According to ACAMS, “Attend this informative webinar where experts share insight on how different institutions are looking ahead and working towards a holistic and adaptable approach to financial crime management. Understand how to manage similar-but-different requirements around monitoring, detection, investigation and resolution.  You will learn efficient and effective strategies to create a technology roadmap which incorporates the many facets of financial crime, such as AML, fraud, sanctions, cybercrime and anticipated expectations for FACTA.”

It might be worth it to take an hour of your time to listen in and get some current news surrounding some of the things that this global company is sharing.  You can register for this webinar here:  http://www2.acams.org/financial_crime_management .  Hope you all get something out of this!!!
